Bedford Town Centre Exhibition: 9-12 April, Harpur Suite

3rd Apr 2008

The next 15 years are set to be a time of real change for Bedford Town Centre.

The two giant cranes dominating Bedford skyline are an indication of the town’s aspirations for a bright new future. By 2021, the town centre will have seen major redevelopment to create new and improved shopping, leisure and cultural facilities, new housing, jobs and new public spaces.

The Borough Council is continuing to make a major effort to keep you informed about the town centre. Your response to the previous three exhibitions was a great help in deciding priorities and in shaping the projects that have been completed. Now you have a fourth opportunity to influence how the town centre will change.

The Borough Council, therefore, invites you to participate in the fourth town centre exhibition. This latest exhibition provides an ideal opportunity to showcase what has been achieved so far and the progress being made. There are also displays showing new projects and initial ideas for future developments.

If the town centre is to remain competitive and grow, there is an urgent need to get on with the task and responses from the public will assist greatly. Only if you express your views can they be taken into account.

The exhibition is scheduled from 9 - 12 April 2008 in the Harpur Suite, Harpur Square. The exhibition will take place as follows:

Wednesday 9th to Friday 11th April 9am to 6pm
Saturday 12th April 9am to 4pm

We hope you agree that it is a very exciting time for Bedford so come along, give your views and help make the town centre something to be proud of.
