10th Nov 2009
As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, banking expert David Eales will be guest speaker at the University of Bedfordshire’s Knowledge Network event on Thursday 19 November.

The event, which offers a rare insight into the workings of the UK banking system, will particularly focus on the support banks will be providing to small businesses in the future.
Other topics to be covered include how business leaders should position their companies to take advantage of the various phases of economic cycles, safeguarding for the future, the pros and cons of generalist and specialist banking and improving chances of business success in the future.
In the early 1990s, David was Head of Sales at NatWest for the South East Midlands which included the start of NatWest Life, the first time that NatWest had created a separate financial services division.
In 2001 David became the first Business Development Director for NatWest, initially for The City, and later for Central London. His final role in NatWest was Regional Business Development Director for Midlands Wales and Anglia in the Commercial bank. David said: “Business Development is about knowing your business and converting your experience into new business.”
‘Will we ever get it right?’ will take place at the University’s Putteridge Bury Conference Centre. The event is free for Knowledge Network members and £10 including VAT for non-members.
