The European Mobility Week is an awareness raising campaign aiming at sensibilising citizens to the use of public transport, cycling, walking and at encouraging European cities to promote these modes of transport and to invest in the new necessary infrastructures.
Events in September:
Wednesday 15th European Mobility Week Information Point, Town Centre
Thursday 16th Launch of the lifting of the bus lane restrictions for motorcycles, pedal cycles, private hire
vehicles and taxis
Sunday 19th Family Cycle Ride Priory Park to the Town Centre using off road cycle facilities
Monday 20th Launch of the new Stewartby to Bedford bus service
Wednesday 22nd In Town Without My Car Day supported by Bedford Businesses
Additional cycle parking within the Town Centre
Dr Bike Free bicycle service, Town Centre 9am 4pm
Launch of Park and Ride bus service to Bedford Midland Station
