New boss at Millbrook

Millbrook, one of the world’s leading transport research and development facilities, has appointed Miguel Fragoso as its new managing director.
The move follows the retirement of Rod Calvert after almost 25 years at the helm of the organisation.
Fragoso, 52, has spent his entire career in the automotive industry, across Europe, the United States and Japan, most recently as director of GM UK’s vehicle engineering centre.
Speaking of his appointment, he noted: “Millbrook has a world-leading reputation for delivering innovative, forwardthinking programmes to its comprehensive transport client-base.
"I am looking forward to working with the team and playing a role in the future growth and direction of the business.
“It is a pivotal time for the industry, with the accelerating development of transport energy solutions of tomorrow.
“Millbrook is very much at the forefront of such research and it is our ambition to continue to lead that process.”
Mark Coverley, director of business strategy and projects, will continue to lead Millbrook’s client team, looking after the company’s international portfolio of automotive and transport clients.
Millbrook, Beds, is one of Europe’s leading locations for the development and demonstration of all types of land vehicle, from motorcycles and cars, to commercial, military and off-road vehicles.
It is also a market leader in the provision of test and development solutions for new technologies, hybrid powertrains and low carbon system.
