Record support from local busineses for Spring Business Exhibition

24th May 2007

The Spring Business Exhibition sponsorship by the Bedford Development Agency and organised by Conquest Marketing has grown tremendously in the last 3 years, the events have rocketed from a 'Big Business Breakfast' to a full scale Business Exhibition.

"I am particularly impressed with the speakers at the breakfast event from the NIRAH project – it looks like some exciting times ahead for Bedfordshire and surrounding areas". Gary Sales Scarecrow Consulting.
Prof. Shaw told us about the work NIRAH will do in producing more holistic medicines from natural materials. Delegates questioned how much intellectual property will be kept in the region or even in Britain and were told that every effort will be made to keep the benefits of discoveries local but anything outstanding will of course go global. NIRAH expects to put Bedfordshire on the global map for research and tourism.

This years event was held at the Bedford Corn Exchange and exhibitors entirely filled the auditorium. There was a great variety of busineses and services on display - from hypnotherapists to outdoor catering equipment to therma-scanning equipment. Alison Slatcher, representing the BDA said "I could not believe how quickly 3-4 hours passed by - it was shoulder to shoulder networking!"
