Following the last South East Midlands business engagement event in August, a proposal for a Local Enterprise Partnership was sent to the Government on 6 September (documents available on: www.southeastmidlands.org.uk
Now the South East Midlands partners would like to invite you to a Business and Enterprise Summit at the Cranfield Innovation Centre on Wednesday 17 November to hear your views on priorities for the Local Enterprise Partnership, identify actions to support businesses and set in train a programme of work for the coming year.
Why should you be there?
The Government’s spending review makes it clear that businesses and enterprise will be the driving force behind future economic growth. The South East Midlands Business and Enterprise Summit is the opportunity to be involved in the business-led Local Enterprise Partnership and shape decisions that will affect future priorities, such as, regional and European funding, communications and transport infrastructure, inward investment, business support and skills development.
What is the programme?
A mid-afternoon start with a keynote business speaker will be followed by focused discussions.
To round off the event and provide an opportunity for business networking a light buffet will be provided, during which there will be the presentation of Excellence Awards for best practice in design in the South East Midlands.
