Green Gown Awards Hat Trick for Bedford College

For the third year running Bedford College has gained national recognition at the highly prestigious Green Gown Awards organised by the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges (EAUC).
They were announced winner of the new “Skills” category at an awards ceremony at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London on 16 June 2010. This builds on the College's success in 2008 as winner of the “Courses” category and in 2009 as highly commended in the “Colleges” category.
Esin Esat, Director of Sustainability at Bedford College, explained:
“I am delighted that the College has achieved the “Skills” category this year, especially as we were the only FE college in the final shortlist. Bedford College is now recognised as a national leader in sustainability and still remains the only FE College to have won an award in the “Courses” category.”
