Extended Deadline For Start Ups Awards

The Startups Awards were established to reward and celebrate the best UK business startups, allowing recognition to be gained for outstanding achievements of a business or team. There are thirteen Award categories open to entry, which include, for example: * Manufacturer of the Year. * Retailer of the Year. * Best Use of Technology. * Community Impact Award. * Women in Business Award. Four companies are shortlisted for each category. The best four category winners receive £2,000 worth of consultancy, courtesy of Business Link. The overall winner is crowned the Startups Business of the Year and receives a cheque for £5,000. Applications are invited from businesses less than three years old at the time of entry that are privately owned and employ no more than 60 staff. The Awards will be presented at an Awards Luncheon on 21 October 2005 at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington. The deadline for receipt of applications has been extended to 1 August 2005.
