Bedford Town Football Club hosted the BDA's Associate Members PR day 16th Feb 2007.

Guest speaker Deena Ingham a consultant journalist and formerly of the BBC, Reuters and BSkyB kicked off the show with a classy presentation on the power of PR. She advised: Aim at the goal, control your passion, mind your language!, Focus, Facts not fluff - never lies, Be yourself
and Prepare!

This was followed by 6 presentations by Associate Members aimed at raising awareness of their businesses to an business and University student audience.

Tony Lockwood of Transforming Potential winner of the prize for the best presentation as judged by Deena and some of her students said: "I had three approaches after my stand up session. One is already an appointment – the others will lead to similar I’m sure. Brilliant business testimonial for your event".

John Francis Group editor of The Times and Citizen wrapped up with a very down to earth talk emphasising the importance of developing contacts and relationships with 'The Press' and how this can help promote positive publicity or even negate problematic events.
