BDA Deal Day attracts exciting ventures
29th Nov 2006
Eight entrepreneurs attended the BDA Deal Day November 23rd at The Bedford i-Lab. A panel of five investors led by Peter Philips, International Financier, listened intently to their 10 minute pitches.
Of the ventures on show:
Dr Natisha Buldeo of Organic Apoteke (top image) was able to announce that the products had been endorsed by 'A' list celebrities. One product in particular had recently been described as a 'Face lift in a bottle' in Cosmopolitan magazine. The BDA helped Organic Apoteke locate new premises in Kempston.
Sticmatz - winners of the BDA 'Best Venture' trophy (bottom photo) have succeeded in getting their magic sticky matz into some major outlets such as PC World and Auto Express. The BDA is also helping Sticmatz make contacts with another major outlet.
Majorsporty - delegates at last years BDA Venture Academy had increased its turnover and was now seeking second stage funding to launch 'Sporty Re-united'.
Divindra Bains brought in some very moorish samples of her food - a real hit with the audience AND the i-Lab tenants! (second photo)
The eight ventures were:
Organic Apoteke: An organic cosmetics firm manufacturing right here in Kempston Bedford
Sticmatz: The magic mat that holds firm mobiles and coins in your car
The Real Indian Food Company: Top Quality meals intended for supermarket 'finest ranges'
nNovia: An analogue to digital conversion device for analogue equipment
Business to Business Associates: A business club offering major savings on services to members
