COPLAN ESTATES WINS DISTRICT CENTRE SCHEME

Following a recent selection process, Bedford Borough Council has now appointed Coplan Estates Ltd as the Council’s redevelopment partner for the regeneration of the Church Lane Neighbourhood Centre.
The proposed scheme comprises a new community centre (including crèche), a medical centre, a supermarket, refurbished retail/residential units and additional retail/leisure/ community units, 82 residential units comprising a mixture of townhouses and apartments, and 200 car parking spaces. The project provides an opportunity to achieve a more secure future for these important local facilities in a way that will really benefit the local community.
As part of the pre-development process, Coplan intend to commence an initial consultation exercise to canvass the views of stakeholders and local residents. This will be held in the Church Lane Community Centre and will be open to the public from 2pm to 8pm on Thursday 21 September and 9am to 12 noon on Friday 22 September.
