Bedfordshire Business Women Awards 2008

7th Jan 2009

The prestigious Bedfordshire Business Women Awards ceremony, sponsored by the BDA (Bedford Development Agency), took place at the end of last year in the plush surroundings of Woburn’s Sculpture Gallery. Michele Coombs, founder of Ouse Valley Living magazine won the title of Bedfordshire Business Woman of the year 2008.

The awards coincided with the 20th anniversary of Bedfordshire Business Women, a non-for-profit women’s networking group, and a special award, The Lifetime Achievement Award, was introduced this year to mark the anniversary.

Bedfordshire Business Women were founded by a group of talented and driven business women in 1988 and they are still supporting local business women today. Members and guests meet for lunch once a month in various locations across the Bedfordshire area.

The BDA was represented by Amy-Jane Cahalane who was a member of the judging panel and presented an award at the ceremony. The ceremony itself was a great success and was attended by over fifty guests.
