Business Plan 2011 competition winners announced

The annual Business Plan competition, run by the Knowledge Hub, the University of Bedfordshire’s gateway to business, recently announced the winner of the 2011 competition.
After careful deliberation the trio of Ben Allen, David Jazani and Tahamina Ajmal were picked as the winners.
The competition, which is sponsored by Bedford Borough Council, is awarded to an individual or group who demonstrate their ability to produce an innovative and robust business plan, and the winning groups ‘Forever!’ project – which was judged the best by the panel, which included representatives from the Knowledge Hub, Bedford Borough Council and Marketest.
University of Bedfordshire’s Innovation Director Wesley Randle, who sat on the panel, said: The pitching stage in the competition was absolutely thrilling and we had some outstanding pitches from very impressive, confident and passionate people.
Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson, added “The Business Plan competition is an excellent way of getting more people to get involved with business. Our sponsorship of the event is another example of our commitment to encouraging local business and enterprise, particularly in these challenging economic times.”
