Business booming at the i-lab

Celebrating its sixth birthday, Bedford i-lab is enjoying its highest ever occupancy levels, despite the tough economic conditions. An incubator for innovative local businesses, many tenants continue to flourish, adding to its impressive track record of helping small businesses grow. Since opening, the EEDA funded i-lab has created 162 jobs and 22 businesses. It has supported 35 businesses in their growth and attracted four new businesses to the region.
By funding the i-lab, EEDA and Bedford Borough Council have provided high-class small-business premises, which Bedford had previously lacked.
Innovative high-tech companies and other businesses, such as design, marketing and financial services companies, can now enjoy the benefits of a business location tailored to aid growth and collaboration.
