The Annual Bright SPARC Awards are designed to recognise Companies and Entrepreneurs, who have successfully used technology to achieve innovation, drive new business growth or enhanced a business by the use of technology.
The awards are being run by the Sparc Technology Network and will recognise those businesses or individuals who have truly excelled in their specialist field.
The event will take place on 12 May at Cranfield University on the eve of Cranfield Venture Day.
There are seven Award Categories and also the 2010 Overall Award winner. Companies and Individuals are invited to submit an application themselves or nominate clients, colleagues and suppliers.
The Awards also recognise Support Groups who provide advice assistance and funding to Innovative Businesses as well as highlighting successful innovation achieved through collaboration between Universities and Colleges and Business.
This is an ideal Forum for Small and Start-Up Businesses to promote new technology and be part of a technology showcase.
Once all nominations have been received the short listed entrants will be interviewed via phone by a representative of the judges. As well as prizes offering real business support for the winners, all finalists will be given space and marketing banners to exhibit at the Cranfield Venture Day, a one-day conference and networking event for entrepreneurs, on 13 May.
