Bedford Station Quarter – News No:1

Plans are moving forward for the development of Bedford’s Station Quarter – the area around the main railway station on Ashburnham Road, Bedford.

Two planning applications are involved:

The first (10/00701/EIA) has been submitted by Bedford Borough Council and is an outline planning application which sets out the location, maximum sizes (but not the detailed designs and appearance) and access arrangements for the various proposed uses across the whole area.

The second will be submitted by Network Rail and will be a full planning application just for the new station building and access to it (including detailed design and appearance).
