Bedford Businesses are being urged to ’talk up their town’ as part of a new campaign to raise Bedford’s profile. The campaign will run under the banner, ’Central For Business’ and will build on the success of local companies as well as targeting firms looking to locate within the Oxford 2 Cambridge Arc. Bedford has many assets and advantages as a business location and every prospect of attracting more companies to move into and expand in the Borough. Further evidence of this can be seen in the fact that Bedford is set to benefit from the Government’s Communities Plan. It has been earmarked as a key town for new homes and jobs, provding investment and growth over the next decade. Local business confidence is already growing and more than 60 local business people are now Associate Members of the Bedford Development Agency, forming the nucleus of the Bedford Business Network.
